About OLMP
The Office of Labor-Management Programs (OLMP) provides a focal point for citywide labor-management cooperation, programs, and information. The DC Labor-Management Partnership Council (DCLMPC), formed in the late 1990s, fosters improvements in labor-management relations within the District government and is co-chaired by the Mayor and Joslyn N. Williams, president of the Washington Council, AFL-CIO.
Currently, over 50 Labor-Management Partnership Councils (LMPC) in more than 20 agencies/departments comprise the DCLMPC. The council approves changes in rules, policies, structures, and program operations.
The OLMP provides the following core services:

Assists agencies to formulate and expand local partnerships

Provides a safe place for early discussion of operational problems, plans, and ideas

Facilitates high-level, face-to-face communication between labor and management leaders

Gathers and shares information on issues of mutual concern

Builds consensus for a focused, achievable, joint agenda

Researches and explores new models for collaboration

Provides training and guidance to agency partnership committees

Seeks external funding to supplement training and education needs
